Homemade bread has many advantages. You have full knowledge of the ingredients! Fresh herbs are all the rage. This recipe calls for full-bodied fresh rosemary. Bonus, your house will smell amazing, like you have been cooking all day!
Reminder: You can get fresh rosemary at my weekend farmer’s market booths.
Ingredients (serving size 12 slices):
1 1/4 c water at 80 to 90 degrees F
2 1/2 tbsp melted butter, cooled
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tbsp rosemary, finely chopped
3 c white bread flour
2 tsp bread machine or instant yeast
Directions
- Place the ingredients in your bread machine as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Program the machine for Basic/White bread, select light or medium crust, and press start.
- When the loaf is done, remove the bucket from the machine.
- Let the loaf cool for 5 minutes.
- Gently shake the bucket to remove the loaf, and turn it out onto rack to cool.
